Raleigh Plastic Surgery Medical Spa, Blue Water Spa donates $5,000.00 to A Toast to The Triangle, Benefiting the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation

March 20 2004–Raleigh Plastic Surgeon Dr. Michael Law has donated over $5,000 to “A Toast to the Triangle” an event to benefit the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation to assist children and adults with developmental disabilities.

A Toast to the Triangle offers an astonishing array of culinary splendor from 40 of the Triangle?s finest restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine wines and specialty beers.

Event Date: Sunday, April 4 ? Main Event - Convention Center

Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities was founded in 1969 by three families of children with special needs. To confront the lack of responsive care for their children, these families established a day program which served seven children in its first year at the Greenwood Forest Baptist Church in Cary.

The Center was named for Tammy Lynn Pierce, a daughter of one of the founding families. She died at age 12 in 1971.

The first buildings on the present campus were constructed in 1979. The campus expanded again in 1989 ? 1990. We now serve over 440 families annually through a continuum of programs, including day services, residential services, respite care, and early childhood intervention. The Center remains committed to providing the individuals it serves the opportunity to reach their full potential in a loving and nurturing environment.
