OSU Medical Center Physician pens book on Aging

A book on how people can face aging–on their own terms–has been written by a physician at The Ohio State University Medical Center.

“Take Control of Your Aging” by Dr. William Malarkey is designed as a guide for life-long well-being and is based on Malarkey?s training, experience and study of the numerous body processes such as stress, growth, nutrition and metabolism. He has been an endocrinologist and researcher for more than 30 years.

In the book, Malarkey shares his knowledge and insights into how physical, intellectual, emotional, relational and spiritual lives influence the aging process and health. The book, available through most book stores, also outlines ways to improve health-related behavior with suggestions that can be easily managed by those with fast-paced lifestyles.

At Ohio State, Malarkey has been involved in extensive research into the mind-body relationship including internationally recognized studies on the affects of stress on the body.

Dr. Malarkey is a professor in internal medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health.
