4Sight Artificial Sight for the blind
4Sight, Oxford, England.
Development has started on 4Sight a device that it is hoped will give artificial sight to the blind.
4Sight is worn as a pair of glasses it’s on-board minature cameras are connected to a head-band which uses a proprietary technology to allow a blind person to see. The device does not involve any form of surgery, is battery powered, and provides a black & white low resolution greyscale image which enables the blind person to ’see’.
4Sight earlier this year failed to get funding due to the fall in technology stocks, is hoping that once development is underway investors sentiment may improve.
